A Knee Brace Can Help For A Flexible Lifestyle!

Monday, August 13th, 2007

Your knee may be screaming with pain. For whatever reason, you’ve sustained an injury and it hurts like crazy to move your knee. Perhaps the cartilage in your knee has decided to go on vacation. Will it ever return? Will shark cartilage help it grow back? Will the pain ever go away? You can choose to suffer through the pain until it finally subsides or you could learn to just live with it. Or you could explore alternative therapies or even surgery. Whatever you decide to do, a good knee brace can help!

A knee brace may conjure up images of metal rods, clanking metal and limited mobility, but today’s knee braces are lightweight and some weigh-in at a mere 16 ounces. Many knee braces are created using 21st century materials that make them strong, durable and effective.

A knee brace can be used for mild to moderate support. It can be made from all kinds of products, including foam, plastic, metal and elastic. Most varieties are the “clip on” kind and many are made with straps and Velcro tabs for easy fastening and adjustment. A good knee brace will support not only the kneecap but also the entire knee joint. This will give you a moderate range of motion while your knee heals from whatever is bothering it.

A knee brace can be bought from your local drug store or the nearest discount chain. The more expensive brands can be purchased at any medical supply store. Where you buy your knee brace depends on what kind you need and how many bells and whistles it comes with. Your doctor should help you decide which type of knee brace is best. Take his or her advice. Don’t mess around with your joints or you may end up with more trouble than you bargained for. Many fresh injuries require specific measures for healing to occur: your knee may have to remain stabilized or immobilized during the healing process.

Different knee injuries need a different kind of knee brace, and there are four basic types.

1. A functional knee brace is designed to offer support to your already injured knee.
2. A patellofemoral knee brace is designed to help protect your kneecap after injury or surgery.
3. A prophylactic brace is designed to protect your knee from injuries commonly incurred during sports.
4. A rehab, or rehabilitative knee brace, is designed to limit your knee movement while your knee heals following an accident or surgery.

Most knee braces are designed with materials that can be removed for easy laundering. When a doctor prescribes a knee brace for you, ask how to wear the brace, what to expect and how to take care of it. If you purchase your knee brace from your local drug store, make sure that you get the size and style that will best fit your needs. Whether you need just a little extra support for minor pain and discomfort or more support for a muscle or tendon pull, a knee brace is your answer. So get up on those legs, take care of those knees, and get your life back!

Floaters Are Interfering With My Vision: What Are They?

Monday, July 9th, 2007

Floaters are translucent dots and squiggles that waft to and fro within vision and in front of what is being looked at. They are very common. They may be of any shape and can be difficult to describe. Terms like “a spider” or “a fly” or “a cobweb” or “frog spawn” are often used and they may appear so real that the affected individual may reach out to try and catch them. The fancy medical name for them is “Muscae Volitantes” which means flies that flit about. What are they?

The main internal cavity of the eye is filled with a jelly like material called “the vitreous”. This is mostly made up of water which is chemically linked to fine molecular stands. This arrangement gives the vitreous some structure. When we are children the vitreous is usually like a set, but wobbly, jelly. As we get older its structure gradually changes. The fine strands tend to clump together more and some of the water forms fluid pockets within the gel. Little by little the vitreous becomes more sloshy. The strands within it can then move around more freely like a fine net curtain in a gentle breeze. Floaters are more common in eyes that are short sighted. This is because the vitreous is more fluid in this condition.

The mobile strands within the vitreous are only noticed if they happen to cross near the line of vision against a bright even background. This may be white paper, or a bright or evenly cloudy sky, or something similarly illuminated. If the person is looking at a complex mixed scene then the floaters tend to be lost amongst the details of the scene. What is actually seen is the shadow cast by the strand (floater) upon the retina. The retina is the vital “seeing” layer that lines the back of the eye. Although the actual dimensions of a floater within the vitreous may not change its appearance can. This may happen, for example, if its distance from the retina varies. If the floater is just in front of the retina it will cast a relatively small but sharp shadow. If it drifts further forwards from the retina it will then cast a larger more fuzzy shadow; making it look as if the floater is bigger.

Over time the fluid pockets trapped within the vitreous grow larger. This fluid may eventually break through to the outer surface of the gel. This may happen suddenly and can cause a “flashes and floaters” disturbance to vision. Free fluid now surrounds the jelly part of the vitreous which shrinks inwards and becomes much more mobile. As this slops around within the eye it may bump the retina. This causes an electrical signal to pass to the brain and the individual “sees” a momentary lightening like phantom flash of light, usually to the outer side of vision. These flashes are usually perceived after dark. They tend not to be noticed during the day when other light drowns them out. The flashes peter out over several weeks because the gel shrinks even more and no longer bumps the retina. The floaters tend to persist and there may be one very distinct and roughly circular floater that accompanies the flashes. This is due to a ring like thread that used to be the bond between the vitreous and the nerve of vision at the back of the eye but is now free floating within the cavity of the eye.

This process where the vitreous becomes more fluid and collapses is called “Posterior Vitreous Detachment (PVD)”. Before a PVD happens the outer surface of the vitreous is in contact with the retina at the back of the eye. As the vitreous separates from the retina and shrinks inwards it should do so without disturbing the retina. However occasionally it can pull on the retina and tear it. This can then lead to a retinal detachment. This is why the state of the retina should be checked by an eye specialist if someone notices the sudden appearance of new floaters.

As well as the normal strands within the vitreous, floaters can be caused by bleeding or inflammation within the eye.

Top 7 Dropshipper Disadvantages

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Don’t get me wrong; I love drop shipping too! However, I would be remiss in my duty if I didn’t tell you about the pitfalls as well as the advantages of being a dropshipper. Here, then, are seven disadvantages of drop shipping.

1. Merchant Account Violation: The terms of your Internet merchant account require that you not charge your customer until the order has been shipped. Your dropship supplier might take a few days to get your order out.

2. Inadequate Product Knowledge: Since you’ve never even seen the products you sell, how will you be able to answer customer questions about the product? Sometimes you can obtain sales literature or samples from your supplier to assist you in your product knowledge.

3. Increased Customer Support: When customers request information about a product, you will have to phone the supplier for product data and then contact the customer with the information. This can be very time consuming.

4. Responsible for Dropshipper’s Actions: If your dropship supplier runs out of inventory, sends the wrong item, is slow in fulfilling the order, or experiences similar problems, you are the one who is responsible. You are the one that will have to apologize and straighten matters out with the customer.

5. Increased Competition: If you are not the exclusive source of the product, others can and will sell the same product from your dropship supplier.

6. Dropship Supplier Scams: Some suppliers claim to sell at wholesale prices but actually sell to you much closer to retail. Sometimes shipping and handling charges extracted are exorbitant. This, of course, leaves very little, if any, profit margin for you.

7. Loss of Control: If you maintain your own inventory, you have much more control over how quickly and securely your inventory is shipped.

10 Tips To Reduce Migraine Headaches

Sunday, May 20th, 2007

Migraine headaches must be one of the most debilitating illnesses on earth. If you are a sufferer you will know what I mean. The frequency and severity can vary from person to person but many people still loose 2 or 3 days a month to migraine. Yes, that is lost money in your pay cheque or lost quality leisure time with family and friends.

That intense throbbing pain usually at one side of your head and often accompanied by nausea and/or vomiting completely knocks many people of their feet. The lucky ones may get some warning a few days before such as cravings for certain foods like sweets and chocolate or general lethargy. In such cases if you can recognise these warning signs it may be possible to eliminate the cause or start treatment before the onset. Other people will have what is known as an “aura” for a short time before the migraine kicks in. The most common symptoms of the “aura” are flashing lights in front of your eyes or zig zag lines disrupting your vision. More disturbing symptoms which can occur are numbness down the side which is effected my the migraine or speech difficulties i.e. slurring etc.

There are many triggers which can bring on an attack. In this day and age probably the most common cause is stress in the work place, the feeling of being constantly placed under pressure can cause great anxiety thus fuelling the migraine.

Certain foods may also be to blame such as cheese, chocolate, alcohol - red wine in particular, and processed or canned foods which often contain monosodium glutamate. On the other hand lack of food can also act as a trigger.

Strong smells such as perfume, paint, stale smoke or being in a stuffy atmosphere often contribute.

To be truthful it takes more than one of these factors to trigger an attack and the combination is unique to each individual.

Before you can think about how to tackle the symptoms, prevent or reduce the severity of attacks it is important that you work out what the combination of factors is that may bring on the headache. Try keeping a diary of foods consumed, dates when you felt under increased stress, and so on to gradually build a picture or pattern of events leading up to attacks.

For women (who incidentally are more likely to suffer from migraines than men) it is important to keep track of your monthly cycles as hormonal changes in the body before and during your monthly period are often the trigger. The contraceptive pill and hormone replacement therapy can also sometimes increase the occurrence of migraine.

So, you have established the cause what do you do now?

There are a great many “over the counter” drugs designed to relieve the symptoms, both pain and nausea, however in sever attacks these may not be enough. Prescription drugs from a doctor may be more effective and can usually be tailored more to suit individuals.

However, lots of sufferers these days would rather not take drugs but rather try other methods usually aimed more at prevention rather than cure.

There are a few things you can try. Here are some examples:-

1. Try different methods of relaxation for instance; yoga or meditation, going along to one of these classes may turn out to be fun! Alternatively you can teach yourself these techniques using books or DVDs

2. Ensure you get enough sleep most people need between 7 and 9 hours per night.

3. Take some form of exercise for example walking or swimming - nothing too excessive because too much exertion can bring on a migraine!

4. Set aside at least one hour a day just to do something you enjoy which will relax you such as reading a book, watch your favourite television show, do some gardening - fresh air can work wonders after a day at the office!!

5. Eliminate foods from your diet completely which you have established act as triggers for the headaches. Have some fun trying out recipes using alternatives.

6. A gentle massage can be very effective and other more alternative treatments appear to help in some cases such as acupuncture.

7. If you have an attack try lying in a darkened room and place an ice pack at the back of your neck - for others a hot water bottle may be more effective.

8. Apply gentle pressure to the painful areas of your head and if possible sleep.

9. There are herbal medicines that can be taken as preventative measures such as feverfew and butterbur or supplements containing magnesium and vitamin B2. If you suspect or are pregnant or breast feeding do not use any of these items without professional advice.

10. The most important thing to remember when trying to prevent or reduce migraine attacks is to eliminate one or more of the contributory factors - the triggers.

If you would like to explore alternative methods an excellent book to read is The Natural Headache and Migraine Program Written by Christan Goodman which goes through step by step how by making a few changes to your life style you can greatly reduce the instances of migraine. Pain Management Strategies

Friday, May 4th, 2007

Some people have a very high tolerance for pain and it indeed would be nice to be such a person if you happen to be experiencing severe and uncontrollable continuous pain. Life is full of pain and sorrow, happiness and joy and one should understand that you cannot know true happiness or joy in your life unless you have also experienced the other side of the spectrum. Call it balance if you will.

As athletes often say; No Pain, No Gain, but is there are way to take your pain and make it go away or stay out of your mind without taking pain killer medication, which can also be quite addictive they say? Some coaches say things to athletes like; Pain is Not Real!

Oh sure, until it is you experiencing it. Indeed pain is merely your body telling you that something is not exactly right and you need to consider what you are doing as not to cause any more damage, as it might become permanent.

One way I have found to deal with pain is to study it, analyze it and consider how it works, press on the sensitive area and try to trace where it comes from and exactly where it hurts. Next pinch yourself and then compare the two types of pain and study the differences.

Eventually what happens is you acknowledge the pain for what it is; a warning sign and move on. During marathon races this is what I always recommended to my fellow athletes. Why not give it a try. Personally I disagree with taking pain medicines and hope you will consider the alternatives.

I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought. The goal is simple; to help you in your quest to be the best in 2007. I thank you for reading my many articles on diverse subjects, which interest you.

Informative Speech on Migraine in Children

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

Picture this. Your 9-year old daughter staggers to the breakfast table; hands on head, and moans plaintively, “I can’t go to school today. I have a headache.”

“Nonsense,” you say. You give her an aspirin with breakfast and say, “Off you go. You’ll feel better when your history test is over.”

But what if this happens every few weeks? Might it be migraine? Is there such a thing as migraine in children?

Betsy’s Migraines – a true story

My introduction to the possibility of migraine in children came when I was teaching fourth grade in Massachusetts. That’s when I met 9-year old Betsy. Betsy was a pretty child, but headaches kept her from making either friends or academic progress. Betsy claimed to experience regular bouts of migraine in children. Her doting mother vowed that Betsy’s attacks were real, but I was skeptical, since they always coincided with things Betsy disliked.

Even more suspicious was Betsy’s behavior during attacks. She began with plausible head-holding and tears. She begged for her mother to come and get her. Then, her act always went over the top. Looking around the room to be sure she had attention, Betsy shook her head violently from side to side. “You have to do this when you have migraine,” she announced loudly. She hit her head, and turned on the waterworks – always keeping a shrewd eye on her audience. When her mother arrived, Betsy abruptly stopped shaking her head, and moaned piteously. The curtain fell as her mother wrapped Betsy in her arms and ushered her from the room.

True Migraine in Children

While I never received professional confirmation that Betsy suffered migraine in children, I did learn that the condition is authentic. Its name is “migraine in children”, even when it refers to only one child.

Facts about Migraine in Children

Migraine affects people of all ages, social classes, races, and cultures. It is most prevalent between ages 20 and 50, but migraine in children hits younger generations. Often misdiagnosed initially as a “headache excuse” to avoid unpleasant tasks, migraine in children is real. Let me give you seven facts.

* Migraine often runs in families.
* Young babies and preschoolers can suffer migraine in children.
* Migraine in children begins earlier in boys than in girls.
* Up to 6 years, boys are affected equally or slightly more than girls.
* At elementary school level, 10 percent suffer migraine in children.
* The prevalence of migraines increases during secondary school.
* 20-30% of young women and 10-20% of young men experience migraines.

Migraine in children attacks every age from birth to age 20.

Symptoms of Migraine in Children

So, since your young daughter may be suffering migraine in children, and not simply avoiding a test, we need to look for signs. What are the symptoms of migraine in children?

1. PAIN: First of all, migraine in children is very painful, with severe throbbing in the head. Your daughter will probably report pain in the forehead, or the middle of the head, rather than just one side.

2. PALLOR: Typically, migraine in children will cause sufferers to appear ill and pale. There may be dark rings around the eyes.

3. QUIETNESS: A child suffering migraine in children will be very quiet. You may have trouble getting your child to say more than, “My head hurts.” He or she will choose to sit or lie in aching silence.

4. STILLNESS: Unlike Betsy in the schoolroom, children with migraines do not want to move any part of their bodies. They certainly do not want to shake their heads. If a headache complaint is followed by a running off to play, do not suspect migraine in children.

5. NAUSEA: For those taking notes, we’re on the fifth symptom now. Your child may complain of feeling sick in the stomach. He or she may not want to eat anything, and may vomit.

6. ABDOMINAL PAIN: In very young children, the main symptoms of migraine in children are abdominal pain accompanied by nausea and vomiting.

7. VISUAL DISTURBANCES: Some children experience changes in vision during an attack of migraine in children. They may have blurry vision, see flashes of light, or describe zigzag patterns in front of their eyes.

8. PHOTOPHOBIA: Your child may complain of light being too bright, and may want to go to a dark room. For those who like to sound knowledgeable, this light sensitivity is known as photophobia.

9. PHONOPHOBIA: Moving to the eighth symptom, migraine in children may cause them to hold their ears, or complain that you’re talking too loudly. Instead of turning up the television volume, they turn it down or off. This is sound sensitivity, also known as phonophobia.

10. OSMOPHOBIA: Migraine in children will sometimes cause sensitivity to smells. Even if you aren’t cooking liver-and-onions, your child may complain that dinner smells awful. For those who want the technical term, smell sensitivity is known as osmophobia.

11. MOTION SICKNESS: Those who suffer migraine in children have a tendency toward travel sickness. Even when not in a vehicle, a sufferer may complain of dizziness.

12. CONFUSION: Finally, and this is the last symptom we will look at, if your son or daughter is suffering migraine in children, he or she is likely to exhibit confusion and trouble concentrating. You might tell your teenager, “You aren’t thinking straight.”

Is It Migraine in Children?

There you have 12 symptoms. Some will exhibit all – others will exhibit a few. Some will have authentic migraine in children – some will not. How do you tell?

PATTERN: First, note whether your child’s attacks follow a regular, intermittent pattern. Migraine in children comes back again and again, following a pattern. Look for headaches that are very severe, lasting a few hours, and followed by an interval of no symptoms. Days or weeks later, a similar attack occurs, followed by another symptom-free interval. Migraine in children has a rhythm.

FAMILY HISTORY: Check to see if there is a history of migraine in your family. There may be a tendency toward migraine in children.

PHYSICIAN: Ask your doctor. A doctor will focus on ruling out other serious diseases or underlying conditions. If there are none, you will have the doctor’s reassurance, and a plan for effective treatment. I am not a professional, and my information must always be checked with your health care professional.

If your child’s attacks are migraine in children, you can provide relief.

Relief of Migraine in Children

* SLEEP: Sleep is the most important factor when it comes to migraine in children. In many cases, several hours of sleep in a dark, quiet room is all that is required.

* ICE PACK: Try placing a cold compress on your child’s head as he or she lies in a dark, quiet room.

* OTC: With your physician’s approval, use over-the-counter medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or acetaminophen.

* PRECRIPTION: Your physician may want to prescribe a medication for recurring attacks of migraine in children.

* WARM BATH: A hot Epsom salt bath may help an older child or teenager.

The most effective of these is usually sleep.

How Migraine Affects Your Children

In closing, I’d like to tell you about Thomas.

Thomas was a mischievous, high-maintenance little boy. From the time he could toddle, Thomas was on the go. Morning to night, he seemed never to stop. He talked incessantly, played loudly. Everything Thomas did was at top speed and volume.

Then, one bright autumn day in his eighth year, Thomas didn’t want to eat breakfast. Pale and listless, he lay on the couch, eyes closed. When his buddy called that the school bus was coming, Thomas covered his ears and moaned. When Mother opened the curtains to let in sunshine, Thomas covered his eyes. It was his first migraine.

Thomas lost that day. He missed the introduction of multiplication at school. He missed a film in history class. He missed an afternoon hayride with his cub scout pack.

Thomas lost many days after that. He lost days to migraine in children, and he lost symptom-free days out of fear. He began moving more quietly, more slowly. As additional migraines came and went, his bubbly laughter was gradually replaced by sadness and worry.

Thomas’ story is fictional, but it describes the experience of many who suffer migraine in children.

If you think your son or daughter may have migraine in children, I urge you to take him or her to your family doctor. Check for underlying problems, and discuss treatment possibilities.

Whatever you do, don’t ignore migraine in children. Appropriate diagnosis and treatment can greatly improve their quality of life.

Discover Natural Cures For Heartburn TO Relieve the Pain!

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

People has always relied on natural cures for heartburn when it came to relieving the pain that heartburn causes. Heartburn occurs when acid is pushed up the esophagus and leaves you with a burn feeling in your chest.

Heartburn is caused by several things including eating too much or eating to fast. It can be caused by lying down quickly after eating or by consuming certain foods such as citrus, caffeine or spicy foods. Some people are more susceptible to heartburn including pregnant women, people with diabetes and those with asthma.

A lot of people with general occasional heartburn take over the counter antacids. These medicines which come in liquid, tablet or effervescent forms help neutralize the acid in the stomach and create a layer to block the acid from going into the esophagus. For persistent, chronic or severe cases of heartburn prescription medicines are available.

As with most prescription medicines there are side effects. Some of which include constipation, weakness, bone pain, and tiredness. Some antacids deplete the body of needed minerals such as potassium which can cause severe problems. This has motivated the desire to find natural cures for heartburn.

Useful Natural Remedies

A simple natural cure for heartburn can be found in the garden or grocery store. It is peppermint tea or oil. Peppermint as with most mints has the ability to ease heartburn though a few say it can cause it as well. Peppermint has been used for centuries in Europe as a stomach soother and cure for heartburn while ginger has been used a natural cure for heartburn particularly in Asia. Ginger is known to help with nausea and stomach upset. Care has to be taken with peppermint oil as it is possible that it can raise the blood pressure.

Other herbs known to be natural cures for heartburn include chamomile which is a tried and true favorite. In addition to helping stomach ailments and heartburn chamomile also relaxes the mind and body. This can be a great benefit after a bout of painful heartburn wakes you up in the middle of the night.

Some use plain old baking soda as a natural cure for heartburn. The premise here is that the liquid in your stomach that causes the pain is acidic while baking soda is a substance that acts as a neutralizer. It can help in sudden attacks when you do not feel like rushing out and getting an over the counter antacid.

If you do not get heartburn a lot and there is not much suffering than than you can try a natural cure for heartburn. There are a lot of useful remedies that you can use.

Uranium to Top $125/lb by 2010

Saturday, March 10th, 2007

BALTIMORE, MD — Uranium stocks are looking hotter than ever and are poised for a new speculative burst as demand is set to outstrip production.

The spot price for uranium is now trading at a two-decade high of $72 per pound. Current spot prices, which are up nearly 800% over the past ten years, have nearly doubled from $36.25 a pound last January as hedge funds and other financial investors have snapped up the commodity in anticipation of supply shortages amid increasing demand from energy producers.

Worries over future supplies are growing among the investment community as 251 new nuclear reactors either being built or planned compared with the 442 in production.

In fact, from what we hear, it will take 20 to 30 years to ease the uranium supply/demand pressure because there are simply not enough new mines or production.

For the past two weeks, uranium prices have remained flat. But on the week of December 25th, uranium gained $6.50 a pound, the biggest weekly gain in over 20 years. This gain came after reports of an auction, on behalf of U.S. uranium producer Mestena Uranium, of some 260,000 pounds of U3O8 that over $70 a pound for the radioactive metal.

Dustin Garrow, president of ZB Marketing, facilitated the auction that led to the record price. “I think the next deal we’ll see $75 a pound,” Mr. Garrow said an interview. He declined to identify the buyer, but said it was made by a “non-utility, non-uranium producer.” He has conducted eleven auctions this year for Mestena, selling roughly one million pounds of uranium.

Meanwhile, the widely-respected Australian based research organization Resource Capital Research, which specializes primarily in the uranium sector among other minerals resources, has predicted spot uranium oxide prices rising to $115 a pound during 2007.

According to RCR’s latest quarterly review of the market, analyst John Wilson states:

Forward indicators suggest the uranium price is heading to $90/lb by mid 2007, an increase of 37% from the current spot price [of $65 an ounce when the report was written]; and $115/lb by September 2008, an increase of 75% over the current spot price. These price levels are revised up from our September uranium quarterly which indicated a uranium price of $60/lb (+ 50%) May 2007 and $88/lb (+31%) by late 2008. The upward revisions are largely driven by the expected impact to the uranium market of delays at the Cigar Lake project in Canada.

RCR’s predictions would be great for our uranium plays, but we think they’re just a bit overzealous. While a break over the $100 in 2007 is possible, I believe prices won’t be able reach those levels until at least early 2008.

Either way, the outlook for uranium is the same: BULLISH!!

Fact is, I’m on the record saying that if prices keep increasing like they have over the past 12 months, I expect uranium to top $125 a pound by 2010.

You read that right . . . Uranium prices could almost double in a few short years.

So how can you leverage higher uranium prices?

Well, you can’t buy futures on the metal. But you can invest in the companies that explore for and produce the uranium. Personally, I like the upside of mid- to small-cap explorers right now . . . Especially those trading on the TSX Venture Exchange.

I recommend looking for junior mining firms with savvy management, a proven track record and a decent land package in a geopolitically safe country. These firms should also have mid- to advanced-stage properties. Historic production and drill results are always a plus. I expect firms like these do to very well over the next 3 to 5 years.

Fat Loss Weight Training - 3 Killer Metabolism Boosting Tips

Saturday, February 24th, 2007

Fat loss weight training is something that a lot of people think is an oxymoron!

Fat loss weight training is indeed one of the best things you can do in your efforts to lose fat.

By adding muscle mass to your body, you will increase your metabolism and burn more calories while being active and while at rest. This is quite the contrary to the fat loss weight training myth that more muscle will make you gain weight!

This article will show you some awesome fat loss weight training tips. Don’t be like the vast majority of people out there and “just do the machines” for your fat loss weight training routine.

Here are 3 metabolism boosting fat loss weight training tips:

FAT LOSS WEIGHT TRAINING TIP #1: Do multijoint exercises.

If you want to weight train for fat loss, it is imperative that you do a lot of multijoint exercises. This are exercises such as chest, back, and leg exercises.

Some fat loss weight training chest exercises are inverted pushups, flat DB press, incline DB press, standing band press, etc.

Some fat loss weight training back exercises are the seated row, lat pulldown, 1 arm DB row, standing band row, etc.

Some fat loss weight training leg exercises include lunges, squats, split squats, bulgarian split squats, hamstring leg curls, etc.

Multijoint exercises use more muscle and get you more of a bang for your buck. The more muscle you use, the more muscle you will gain. This is an essential part of fat loss weight training!

FAT LOSS WEIGHT TRAINING TIP #2: Do various rep ranges.

There is a common fat loss weight training myth that says you need to do higher reps with lose weight to get cut.

The truth is, when a lot of people try to incorporate higher reps and lower weight into their fat loss weight training they don’t work themselves hard enough to cause your body to gain muscle.

In order to gain muscle, you need to work hard enough to force your muscles to adapt physiologically.

If you try doing 10-12 reps with a heavier weight that brings you close to failure, you will have a better chance of adding muscle.

All in all, it is best to incorporate difference rep ranges in your fat loss weight training. For example, you may spend 2-3 weeks doing 10-12 reps, then change it to 15 reps for another 2-3 weeks. This will help you from adapting too much to any certain routine and keep your body guessing.

FAT LOSS WEIGHT TRAINING TIP 3#: Circuit training is key.

You will want to incorporate circuit training with your fat loss weight training.

Circuit training basically consists of doing a series of 6-8 exercises and going to one right after the other with a short rest period. An example of a fat loss weight training circuit routine might look like this:

1. Flat DB press

2. DB squats

3. Seated row

4. Overhead DB press

5. Hamstring leg curls on stability ball

6. Crunches on stability ball

Owning a Horse is Time Consuming

Saturday, February 17th, 2007

Every little girls wants to have a horse or a pony of her own. Of course the time commitment is huge and time consuming. If your daughter wants a horse and you are not involved in the local equestrian community, then you need to get involved and learn a lot more about it first. The costs to owning a horse are not a mild commitment either.

Horses eat a lot, wouldn’t you if you were that large? Who knows maybe you are and do? Indeed, you need a diet, but a horse needs the food and bulk and they love treats too. Then there are the boarding costs and that is not cheap at all. Horses must be ridden and exercised and if one does not have time, often someone else must be paid to do so.

If you pay someone to take care of your horse and board it, you are talking about some serious money. Owning a Horse is Time Consuming and someone has to get up early and feed it, ride it and take care of it. There are often issues when specialists must be called in also. Horse shoe technicians are not cheap and vets are outrageously expensive if your horse gets sick and they do too.

Owning a horse is a serious commitment and you must know what you are getting into before you buy one. I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought. The goal is simple; to help you in your quest to be the best in 2007. I thank you for reading my many articles on diverse subjects, which interest you.
