Thank you for being interested in our work. We hope to be of service with the following guidelines.
For coin collectors, Coins are for the most part very interesting items to collect. It is also one of the best ways to understand the various conditions or events in history that resulted in the coins being minted. You can buy coins in Auctions, on the internet even other collectors, but the best way to get good quality coins in which to begin your coin collection is with coin shops.
I am not saying the auction or the internet is not a good place to buy coins for your collection. But Coin shops will have people who are well-educated about coins. They also have a plenty of different coins that can be sold. But most of all the people buying and selling coins are also collecting themselves which means you will find a person who shares your interest in coins.
Another advantage of coin shops is that the dealers can see what your collection is like. But like I stated in other articles coin appraisals are different from shop to shop. Many factors are responsible for that, but most of all it is due to the coin grading knowledge of the dealer. As in every industry you will find honest coin shops and dishonest ones, it is always recommended to look for a coin shops with a good reputation.
When you go to the coin shops in your area keep in mind the type of coins you are collecting. As you may like to add more civil war or colonial time coins to your collection, look for coin shops that sell and purchase these types of coins.
Some coin shops buys, sell and deals with coins of a certain metal. They can help you locate dealers or coin collectors who will be able to sell you coins made of gold, silver and platinum.
Like I wrote earlier you will also find coin shops on the internet, while they make your life easier in a way, choosing the coins you want from the comfort of your home, keep in mind that you will have no way at looking at the coin and see if you want them in your collection.
Paying big money for low value coins is not the way you want to go. From time to time you may fall victim to coin shops that have very little experience in selling coins. Try to avoid those shops as they will be emptying your pockets.
Look at things like:
- Are they reputable
- Do they have good experience in purchasing and selling coins
- Do they sell the type of coins you intend to collect
- Can they help you locate dealers that will sell you any type of coins you like
- But most of all look carefully at the shop reputation before making any buying decision.
Finally, I’d like to thank you for reading this article and I hope it was helpful information.
Happy collecting!

Collecting Hot Wheels cars is an easy and fairly inexpensive hobby. Here are some collecting tips to get you on your way with this ever growing hobby of die-cast cars.
* Keep abreast of upcoming special collector days at your neighborhood K-Mart or Wal-Mart stores in your area.
* Search the online auctions or collector’s web sites for cars you may be missing from your current collection.
* Purchase trade books and magazines to stay on top of the value of each car.
* Begin with the latest releases if you are just starting out. Most newer Hot Wheels will not be too difficult to find and you can keep track of your collection with a Mattel Hot Wheels checklist.
* Find all the cars released in the latest years First Editions Series or Treasure Hunt Series limited editions. There are also 12 Final Run retiring models each year; these may be a little harder to find.
* Look for Planet Micro vehicles. There are six different series of these tiny car sets.
* If at all possible do not open the packages that your hot wheels come in. They hold their highest value if they are in their original package.
* When buying cars from Ebay, make sure to check out the seller and their selling history. This will give you a great idea of the type seller you are dealing with
* The biggest collecting tip is to just have fun and do not spend more than you can afford.
Happy Hunting!

The digital music player industry has been booming for several years now. The Apple iPod is now just one of dozens of great portable players on the market. Toshiba has the Gigabeat. The Creative Zen Vision gives the iPod a run for the money. Microsoft has the Zune. Philips has the GoGear. These are just a few. What are you needs? Do you want to play videos and music? What formats do you prefer? There are many variables to consider.
So you’ve done the research and picked out a player. Where do you go to get your tunes? Now the fun starts! Google the search term “legal music downloads” and what do you get? 36,400,000 returned links! Thirty Six Million!!! How many are really “legal”? Who are the top players? Where do you get the best deals? The top results are at the top because they paid to be there. Does that mean that they’re the best? Not necessarily. The only way to find that out is to check them out. Take your time and do some comparison shopping like you would for any other product. Check the numerous music forums. Ask your buddies. Be smart.
Want to narrow that 36 Million number down just a tad? Go to
www.LegalMusicDownloads.com for a list of excellent links to music download review, music player review, and much more.
That’s the skinny from BatMan!

Overview
Few products in recent years have been as beneficial to woodturners trying to season green timber as wax emulsion end grain sealers. In the woodturning workshop, wax emulsion sealers serve an important function by controlling the rapid loss of moisture through freshly cut surfaces on logs, blanks and roughed out projects. Two widely available wax emulsion sealers are Anchorseal and Mobil-Cer M. Anchorseal is paraffin based colloidal solution for logs and lumber. It contains paraffin, water and a surfactant and is milky-white in appearance. Mobil-Cer M is a microcrystalline wax based coating. It contains microcrystalline wax, water and a surfactant and is also milky-white in appearance.
How Wax Emulsions Work
Wax emulsions (also known as end grain sealers) form a flexible and vapor permeable membrane between treated surfaces and the surrounding atmosphere. As woodturners, our goal is not to prevent moisture from moving through the log or the wax coating, but instead to retard the rate of moisture evaporation. When this is achieved, drying defects are reduced and the maximum amount of timber can be utilized in every log.
Application Methods For Wax Emulsions
Wax emulsion sealers can be applied by various methods including brush-on, dip tank, roll-on, spray-on and vacuum assisted. The decision on which method to choose should be based on the quantity, size and location of the logs or blanks to be processed. Correct application procedures are essential to obtain maximum protection from the wax coating.
Brush-On
Wax sealers can be easily brushed onto the exposed end grain, or side grain surfaces of logs, turning squares and bowl blanks. For an optimum surface coating, the cut surfaces should be as smooth as possible. Excess sawdust or debris should be brushed off before applying the sealer. In addition, if any checking is evident on the exposed end grain, it should be cut back until solid wood is present. When brushing the sealer on the end grain portion of re-sawn turning squares or bowl blanks, also coat 1″ of the adjacent side grain. This insures a better coating on the area where the end grain and side grain areas meet.
The sealer should be applied onto the end grain until it nearly runs off. Applying too thin a coating will reduce the protection level and may compromise the successful seasoning of the timber. If any bubbles are present on the surface, brush across the area again until the bubbles are completely removed. Bubbles that are left in the wet film may cause differential moisture gradients to form in the surface coating. These differential moisture gradients cause uneven drying zones across the face of the treated surface, which may result in surface checking.
Roll-On
Standard 9″ paint rollers make excellent applicators for medium to large sized logs and blanks. My favorite roller is the type sold for painting in tight areas. It is approximately 4″ long and works exceptionally well for any but the largest of logs. Rollers can apply the coating much faster and more uniformly than hand brushing. In addition, because the nap on the roller is available in different sizes, rough or uneven cut log surfaces can be more easily and uniformly covered.
Dip Tanks
When processing large amounts of smaller blanks or turning squares, dip tanks are simple and efficient. Almost any shallow container can be used for making a dip tank. Old pie pans work well, as do small plastic bowls. Simply decant a small amount of the sealer into the tank and dip each end of the blank into the sealer. The level of the sealer inside the dip tank should be adequate enough to coat the end grain and the small amount of adjacent side grain, in one step.
Spray-On
If you will be processing a large amount of squares or logs, or you are working with very large diameter (2’ to 6’ diameter or more) logs, consider spraying the sealer. Many types of sprayers are available including electrical, gas and manually powered with sizes and prices to fit any budget. Manual sprayers are excellent for spraying in remote locations without electrical service. Trombone type slide sprayers are also available that draw directly from five gallon buckets. I have found that simple pump-up garden sprayers available in most home centers, work very well and are much easier to use than trombone or backpack style sprayers.
Vacuum Assisted Application
When sealing high figured wood, unstable burrs or crotch figured blanks, vacuum assisted impregnation of the surface can be utilized. This method applies sealer to the side grain and end grain simultaneously, producing a well sealed outer surface. My use of this method is typically limited to pen blanks, but it can be adapted to larger turning squares quite easily with proper equipment.

For a relatively low cost, a pet owner can acquire the best pet insurance for his or her dog or cat (or both!). While some of the more cynical people in the world will take an attitude that pet insurance is a luxury item that only those who have money to burn will purchase. Such an attitude is foolish as a medical calamity or accident can befall the pet. When such a calamity occurs, then there will be uneasy financial concerns that will have to be taken into consideration if proper pet insurance has not been purchased long in advance of the onset of the medical problem.
If there was ever an incredibly uncomfortable situation to be in, it would be the situation where a pet faces a serious, life threatening condition. If a dog or cat is diagnoses with something as serious as cancer, immediate treatment must be undertaken in order to save the life of the animal. Such procedures, however, will not be humanitarian gifts as there will be fees involved with such procedures. When the condition is incredibly serious, there is the possibility that several surgeries and follow up visits will be required in order to maintain the life of the pet.
Sadly, there is a financial concern here that must be taken into consideration. How much will the owner be able to afford and how much money will the owner be able to expend before realizing that finances will necessitate having to have the pet put down as further medical care will be out of the range of affordability of the owner. This is why the best pet insurance is something that should be taken into serious consideration, particularly as a pet continues to get up in age.
Pet insurance is a relatively new product on the pet market. It has been around a little over 15 years, but has only started to catch on with the public in the last five years. One of the reasons for this increased popularity of insurance is the fact that vet bills have grown exponentially in the last decade. In fact, increases of the average vet bill have grown by 50+% in only a few short years.
Because of this, it is more important than ever before to invest the dime in the best pet insurance policy. Such insurance policies can be purchased for very little money and they will provide an adequate security net for a beloved pet that deserves such positive protections. Therefore, it is wise to take a look into the available options that may fit the budget that the owner must work within. Doing so as soon as humanely possible will provide a pet with a long and happy life.

You are most likely reading this article thinking what is Placenta Previa? Well for those of you that have had placenta previa you know that it can be very scary. Let me share with you my story.
Placenta Previa is a condition in pregnancy, when your placenta or part of your placenta is covering your cervix. Your placenta attaches to your uterine wall, and this is what your baby uses to grow while inside of you. All your babies blood and nutrients flow through your placenta. Your placenta is attached to your babies unbilical cord. Your cervix is where your baby comes out. You have a cervix plug that is like a mucus plug that keeps everything inside of you until your water breaks and then it thins out when you go into labor.
I was diagnosed with full blown placenta previa when I was 6 months pregnant. If your placenta is on your cervix then you can’t give birth to your baby because the placenta will come out first, if any of you know anything about giving birth there are 2 stages of labor, your baby and your placenta. Your baby must have full usage of your placenta when giving birth because this is your babies blood and oxygen supply. So I was scheduled for a Cesarean section.
Well everything was going just fine until I was 6 months pregnant and then I just started bleeding out of the blue. At the time I was a hairstylist and I was cutting someones hair. I asked my Co workers to call 911 and the ambulance came and took me to the hospital.
At the hospital I was rushed to the ER, and they gave me something to stop my contractions by now I was in labor and I was 26 weeks pregnant. The thought they were going to have to deliver my baby right then but my contractions stopped and I was sent home a week later, on strict bed rest. I was on bed rest for about 2 months and then I had a cesarean section. My baby was a month premature and had some complications when he was born. They cut through my placenta, and my baby lost 1/3 of his blood he also had fluid in his lungs. He had a blood transfusion and was on oxygen for 24 hours and after that he was fine.
Most Placenta Previa cases are not this severe so if you have it don’t worry most times the placenta moves away from the cervix as your baby grows but sometimes it moves the other way and you have full blown placenta previa.
Doctors aren’t sure what causes placenta previa so there is really nothing you can do to prevent this. Some links have been shown in placenta previa and smoking. So don’t smoke or drink and eat healthy and take your vitamins. I did all these things and I still got it, so you can’t prevent bad things from happening, but you can try to prevent them, by eating right and taking good care of yourselves.

In this article I explain the misnomer of glycerine soap, offer advice on how to make clear soap at home and explain what glycerine is and what it does, its benefits and properties
Glycerin is a sweet tasting, colorless, thick liquid that has a high boiling point, it freezes to a paste and is a humectant, which means that it attracts moisture. It is also a natural by-product in the soap making process. Commercial manufacturers remove a significant quantity of glycerin from soap to be used in more expensive lotions and creams.
Glycerine was first discovered in 1779 in the saponification process, today, glycerine is found in and sourced from animal fats, vegetable oils and synthetically from petrochemicals.
It is generally thought that Glycerine is an ingredient added to handmade soap but as stated above it is actually a by-product of the soap making process (saponification). Clear soap is often mistaken for glycerine soap when in fact all handmade soap contains glycerine, a treatment using alcohol and sugar is what makes the soap clear and this is what people generally refer to as glycerine soap. You can add extra glycerine to improve the moisturizing properties of the soap but it is not a necessity. Glycerin soap combined with selected oils can be a great way to relax and mixed with carefully selected herbs and essential oils can be great for acne suffers, it is also very mild and gentle so can be used by children. The most often used method for making glycerine soap is the melt and pour method. This is simply done by taking an opaque soap base melting it and then adding the alcohol and sugar to turn it clear.
Researchers at the Medical College of Georgia found that glycerine makes skin look, feel and function better by attracting moisture and by helping skin cells mature properly; they also discovered that it helps convert fats or lipids in the external, protective membrane. All cells have this layer, but skin cells secrete extra lipids to form a protective barrier. “Think about it. If there was not some sort of barrier, when you took a bath, all the water would go into you and you would blow up like a balloon.” This research is not news to natural soap makers who for years have been telling the virtues of real soap over mass-produced chunks of soap full of chemicals that are cheap, but not skin-friendly.
Transparent soap can be purchased as a clear Melt & Pour base, or made at home, but this is a moderate to advanced technique. It is created by taking previously made cold process soap, re-melting it and adding high proof alcohol such as strong Vodka or Ethanol, dissolved sugar is then added to the mix and depending on the type of oils used and the effectiveness of the alcohol, resulting in soap almost as clear as glass.
I have purposely kept the description for this technique very general to pique your interest and also because the exact technique is quite difficult, exacting and far too involved to describe here. If you are interested in the exact technique, try searching the internet for “make clear soap” or “make transparent soap” without the quotes.

Gary Everson’s FREE course will show you how, from the basic techniques with a detailed explanation of theraputic soaps, to cold process and melt and pour recipes, followed by comprehensive safety and legal information and finishing by turning it all into a business, with an extra bonus at the end.

When you are a first time mother, you don’t know what to expect period. People tell you all about their personal experiences and this just tends to be more nerve wracking for you the expectant mother. You hear that you need to pack a bag and get it ready for the hospital, because you will be in such a rush to get there. But what do you take with you to the hospital? Well here are some helpful tips so you have everything ready to go when your water breaks.
First of all, you shouldn’t wait until your water breaks to pack your bags. Have your bag packed and waiting by the door you leave out of, at least a week before your due date.
Make sure that when its time to go to the hospital, you or your husband has a watch with a second hand. This way you can time your contractions, this will be very helpful for when you get to the hospital.
Make sure you have a cell phone, and on your way to the hospital make the necessary calls to family and relatives that you want to be at the hospital. Grandparents, sisters, and brothers, mothers in laws etc. Let your husband concentrate on driving and if your not in to much pain then you should try to make the calls.
For your laboring room when you are in labor, you should bring warm socks, hospital rooms are usually cold, a couple of washcloths for sweating and if you would like your own birthing gown, which can be a nightgown or whatever you want it to be. The hospital usually supplies these things for you so if you are a light packer you can leave these things at home.
For your hospital room you are going to need a robe, and some nightgowns, again the hospital will provide these if you don’t want to take these. Slippers and some sweatpants and a sweatshirt, your makeup and everything you are going to need to get ready, hairdryer curling iron etc. You most likely won’t look so hot after you have your baby, and since you will have visitors it’s a good idea to bring thes thing. Also if you have a preference on sanitary napkins bring these or else the hospital will have these as well.
For going home you are going to need, an outfit, a nursing bra, if planning to breast feed, or just a bra. Underwear, shoes you get the point. A jacket if it’s cold outside. Last but not least a couple bags to bring home flowers and presents
For the babies ride home you are going to need a car seat, an outfit including an undershirt and socks or booties, a couple of heavy baby blankets, one to swaddle baby in and if it’s cold outside another one to cover babies head.
